Since 2008, we have offered improv and acting training and entertainment to the Dallas metroplex. Founded by John Rawley, the Alternative Comedy Theatre (The ACT), believes in the power of play and honest improv.
Our Mission
The ACT seeks to be a hub of theatrical improv in the North Texas community, providing the opportunity for exploration and diversification of improv in a safe and supportive environment. We offer affordable classes that give all students a place to play and grow as improvisers. We also offer a diverse array of performances and shows that seek to discover new and exciting improv formats.
